Solution #1: Ensure you are connected to the internet

An internet connection is required for the activation of Thickify.

Solution #2: Check for typos

Make sure there are no extra spaces or characters in your serial key when entering it.

Solution #3: Contact us for support

If you are connected to the internet and have entered the correct serial key multiple times, and are still experiencing an activation error, then please submit a support request here. Our support team will help you within 24 hours.

Solution #1: Ensure you have installed the plugin in the correct location

Begin by launching the plugin's installer (Example: Thickify.pkg for Mac and Thickify.exe for Windows).

Follow the prompts to install the software.

By default, the plugin will be installed in the following locations:

> Mac AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

> Mac VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3

> Win VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

Note: Some audio softwares search for plugins in directories other than where the plugin is automatically installed in.

If you use any other folder for your plugins on Windows, please select it by clicking "Browse" in the Destination Location Panel during the installation.

For Mac, the folders listed above are special dedicated directories for VST3 and AU files.

- By default Thickify.pkg installs both VST3 and AU formats of the plugin on Mac. If you choose to install only one of these, please select the format by clicking "Customise" in the Installation Type panel.

Solution #2: Ensure your computer and DAW are up to date

Our plugin's VST3 format is compatible with all major DAWs. If our plugins are installed in the right location for your DAW and still aren't appearing in your workstation, then please check for updates.

Solution #3: Re-scan for audio plugins

Sometimes your DAW just needs a refresh. Completely quit your audio software and then reopen it back up. If you still don't see our plugins in your effect plugins, please re-scan your DAW for audio plugins. Depending on your audio software, there is a different protocol to do this. A simple Google search can help you out!

Also, while you're there, make sure that the plugin is "enabled".

Solution #4: Ensure you are attempting to add the plugin as an effect, not an instrument.

Currently, all of our plugins are effect plugins, not an instrument. You'll need to load them in your effect rack.

Solution #5: Ensure your DAW is compatible with VST3 or Audio Unit formats.

Most DAWs support VST3 format without any problems. However, older versions of DAWs as well as certain workstations such as Reason do not support VST3 technology. If this is the case for you, please submit a support ticket here with the subject "Need VST2", and we'll send you the VST2 version.

Still no luck?

These provided solutions generally take care of 99% of the cases we see. If you've tried all the above recommendations and still are having trouble loading our plugins, then please fill out a support ticket here. A team member will help you out as soon as possible.
