Emergent Drum 2 has 2 modes to generate drum samples – Crunchy and Creamy. The generation part of the plugin works on the server so you will need an active internet connection in order to use it. However, you can still use the Kit section of the plugin Offline.
Emergent Drum 2 is available in VST3 and AU formats for Windows and macOS. The official website does not mention the availablility of a VST2 version for the plugin.

Synplant is another amazing AI-based VST plugin that generates sounds based on a sample. However, unlike Emergent Drum 2, it also works on synth samples. It uses artificial intelligence to decide the best settings that can generate the sound of the source sample.
Synplant is a great tool to convert your samples into a full working synth patch. It is also a big lead ahead of modern sampling that can only stretch or repitch the samples. Synplant is divided into 2 main features – Genopatch and Synth. The Genopatch analyzes and generates the synth patch closest to the source sample. The synth part allows sound designers to further refine and modify the sound as per their requirements.
